Managing team plan payments and deactivating/reactivating users

Admin Panel UI: Top Right Menu

In the Admin Panel's top-right menu, org admins can see the status of their team subscription and access payment options. The subscription status can display as follows:

  • "Subscription active": When Stripe is verifying the payment method or when payment has been successfully processed.
  • "Subscription declined": If Stripe declines the payment method, along with an option to select a new payment method.

Additionally, if the subscription is active and not canceled or deactivated, a "Cancel subscription" button will be available.

Paying for Subscription from the Admin Panel

  • When the administrator clicks the "Select payment" button in the Admin Panel, they are taken to a Stripe payment screen reflecting their current subscription plan and number of seats.
  • If Stripe declines the payment, the admin receives a notification email and has a 3-day grace period to update the payment method.
  • If a valid method is not provided within this period, the enterprise will be deactivated.

Deactivated Enterprise Account

In a deactivated enterprise state, administrators have restricted access similar to the free Basic plan. They can still access the Enterprise Admin Panel, which shows a contrasting color panel near the header with a message about the expired trial and missed payment. The panel includes a "Select payment" button to reactivate the subscription.

Key points in this state:

  • Restricted Actions: Adding new users and bulk adding are disabled.
  • Log Extraction: This button is also disabled.
  • Once payment is completed, the enterprise returns to normal, with full permissions restored to previously active users. Deactivated users remain deactivated, and the warning panel and blocked functions are removed.

Canceling Subscription

When the administrator clicks the "Cancel subscription" button, a confirmation pop-up asks if they are sure they want to cancel. The pop-up informs them that access to the Team tier will end at the end of the current billing cycle, and includes buttons for "Go back" and "Cancel subscription."

If the user confirms the cancellation:

  • The Team subscription ends immediately after the billing cycle.
  • Any active Free Trial is canceled and cannot be reinstated.
  • The enterprise account transitions to a Canceled state.
