How to Install Document GPS for a Team or Enterprise

This guide is for users who have subscribed to the Team Plan and Enterprise Plan

To begin, you can sign up for either the Team Plan or Enterprise Plan.

This guide is structured into three parts. Simply click on the links below to navigate directly to the relevant section:

Admin access to the Admin Panel

  • To begin, the administrator must log in to the Admin Panel.

         Upon assigning the admin for the Enterprise account, an email containing a login link to               the           Document GPS Admin Panel will be sent. Simply click on the link to access the             login page.

  • Input the email address and temporary password that were included in the email.
  • After successfully logging in, you will be asked to create a new password. Simply enter your preferred password and click on the 'Change Password' button to complete the process.

Adding team members to the Admin Panel

Within the Admin Panel main interface, you will find two icons on the right side: Add User and Upload Users.

  • Add User enables you to effortlessly add a new user by entering their first name, last name, and email address. You also have the option to include a phone number if desired.
  • If you prefer to upload multiple users at once, you can utilize the Upload Users feature by importing a list of users from a CSV file. 
  • As soon as you add a user, their details will display in the list. For a visual reference, take a look at the screenshot provided below.

  • To update user details, simply click on the pencil icon located on the right-hand side.

  • To deactivate a user, switch the Status from Active to Inactive.

Admin installs Document GPS for all team members

In this third phase, if your team opts for Gmail, every team member can proceed with the instructions on How to Install Document GPS for Gmail. Notably, Team and Enterprise Subscription users do not have to navigate through a checkout page post installing Document GPS for Gmail.

For teams utilizing Microsoft Outlook, please continue with the following instructions.

  1. Log in to Outlook using your Microsoft account. Visit https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/ to access your account. Please ensure that the admin is the one logged in.
  2. In the top left corner of the screen, locate and click on the 9-dot icon to access the Admin option. The next screen shows the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

3. Click the Navigation menu on the upper left corner of the Admin Center.

4. Navigate to Settings > Integrated Apps, then click on Add-ins in the Integrated apps screen.

5. Next, on the following screen, select "Deploy Add-in" and then proceed by choosing from the options available in the Store.

6. In the search bar, enter "Document GPS" and click on the Add button, then proceed with Continue.

7. In the Configure Add-in screen, select whether to assign the add-in to Everyone or Specific Users. Then, choose the Deployment Method - Fixed, Available, or Optional. Finally, click on Deploy at the bottom, proceed with the next steps, and close the window.

8. Message from Microsoft after successful deployment:

You will receive an email notification confirming your successful deployment. It will take up to 12 hours for the add-in to be displayed on users' ribbons - users might need to relaunch ‎Microsoft 365‎.​

Get started with the add-in​

Once deployment completes, to test that it is successful, launch the applicable ‎Microsoft 365‎ app to confirm that the add-in is present on the ribbon.
You can force the list of installed add-ins to refresh by launching the ‎Microsoft 365‎ app and navigating to the Insert tab > My Add-ins > Admin Managed.
Outlook‎ add-ins can take up to 12 hours after deployment to become available.
